I HAVE A PLAN

I Have a Plan.png

So you try to convince me…

….you tell me to make some space

To move at His pace

To slow down

To unclutter

To unwind

To be less busy

And reprioritize

But I have a plan

I’m a man

I know what I want

Where I want to be in ten years

Unlike my peers

I have a plan

I’m working hard

That’s not bad

They spill tears

They are too scared to face their fears

But I’m better than them

I’m a realist

I’ve got it all figured out

I’m learned

I’ve read all the books

I’m prepared

I don’t have room for what you ask for

Faith?!

You’ve got to be kidding me!

Faith can’t determine my fate

Wake up!

Smell the coffee!

I don’t have time for all this

I’m a realist

I live in the real world

Get your head out of the clouds

I laugh so hard

So you tried to convince me…

….you told me to make some space

To move at His pace

To slow down

To unclutter

To unwind

To be less busy

And reprioritize

But I had a plan

I refused to listen

I never asked what He wanted

I never found out what His will is

I mocked you

I had a plan

I worked hard

Now I’m aged and weak

With so much free time on my hands

I feel empty

I know something is missing

And I know what it is

I thought I had it all figured out

I was foolish

I never read your book

I relished the chaos of a selfish life

Now I have no wife

No kids

Just me

I’m on my knees

I need you!

I seek you!

Help me Lord!

I’m sorry!

I accept you!

I have so much time for you now!

Use me!

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

WHAT DO YOU SEE..fw.png

Tell me,

“What do you see?”

I see beauty

You see ugliness

I see opportunities

You see challenges

I see peace

You see chaos

I see gratitude

You see ingratitude

I see grace

You see penalty

I see humility

You see pride

I see love

You see hatred

I see wealth

You see poverty

I see health

You see sickness

I see abundance

You see lack

I see doors

You see walls

I see good things

You see bad things

It’s all in your mind

Open your eyes

Take another look

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

SO LITTLE TO SHARE

so little to share.fw

She had so little

Bread crumbs here and there

Few coins

One lamp for warmth

Few clothes

One pair of shoes

A pack of sour juice

A can of stale cookies

Some honey in an old wine bottle

A jerry can of water

It was Christmas

The season to be jolly

The season of love

She had created a meal schedule

Five cookies per day

But she saw them out there in the cold

The little ones

They looked so lost

Poor little kids

Kids begging in the cold

Her heart went out to them

She shed a few tears

She couldnt bear it anymore

She gathered the bread crumbs

Her can of cookies

Some water

Her cherished pack of juice

And an old quilt

She put them in an old shiny paper bag

And off she went

Out in the cold

With a heart filled with love

A paper bag of goodies

And an old quilt

She handed them over to the little ones

They smiled so sweetly

Bear hugs

Tears of gratitude

Off they went

Their little feet

Shuffling

Gathering momentum

Off they went

Out in the cold

To a destination unknown

With a smile of contentment

She went back home

Back to her old house

Alone with little or no food

Just a lamp for warmth

A jerry can of water for thirst

Some honey

And a smile on her face

She knew she had nothing now

But she was glad they had something now

No hope lost

Shoes under her bed

She cuddled under her old wrapper

And listened to the carols play in her head

THEY TRIED TO SLAUGHTER THE CUB

They tried to slaughter the cub.fw.png

They tried to slaughter the cub

They sharpened their knives

They plotted

They laughed

They cast lots

They played a stupid game to determine its fate

They tried to slaughter the cub

They didn’t see the lion guarding the cub

They tried to slaughter the cub

They hated its guts

They called it proud

They assumed it was weak

They thought it walked alone

They ignored “the shadow”

They tried to slaughter the cub

They didn’t see the lion observing it all

They tried to slaughter the cub

They were blinded by their hatred

They despised it

They wanted it dead

They wanted it gone

They approached the cub

They tried to slaughter the cub

They didn’t see the lion waiting

They tried to slaughter the cub

They signed their death warrant

They approved their own execution

The cub was unaware of the massacre

The lion erased their existence

The hedge remained unbroken

They tried to slaughter the cub

They didn’t see the lion waiting

CRAZY THOUGHTS

crazy thoughts.fw

I have a long list

A list that should lead to a wedding feast

I’ve search in lands so arid

In a bid to get married

I’ve met so many

So vain and so dandy

They all thought they were charming

With funny names such as

Hotas

Vochas

Jokas

And Jackass

What an interesting journey so far!

I sometimes end up in a spa

Just to talk to the little people in my head

Oh please don’t judge me!

I’ve really really tried

I’ve even sort a Psychologist

Or was he a Psychiatrist?

He had a silly fee

A costly little quack!

He listened to my words

He said I was crazy

And with a tiny little voice

He said he’ll put me on a pill

Oh please!

Who cares!

For I was still on a mission

Unfulfilled was my vision

And my goal was yet unachieved

Beautiful and prime

And in my fourth decade

Young at heart

They said I had little time…

Just the other day

A strand of grey hair I found

Or maybe it was simply hay

Crazy crazy thoughts

My psychiatrist must be right

I think I’m going nuts

What? Nuts?

Not!

I really do not care

For this earth I shall walk

Until I find my mate
